Not Oceanfront !!! This is False advertising. This property is across the street from the ocean with a row of houses between the property and the ocean. See the picture I’ve attached. Furthermore you could not access the beach directly across the street but rather had to walk 1/2 mile down the road to a public beach or pay 40 a day to park (get there early, lot fills up). Two flights of stairs to the main living area got real old too. Vacasa is the management company. They tried to argue it is indeed oceanfront. See the picture, clearly not oceanfront. Ocean view would be accurate. So Vacasa would do nothing to make this right despite my complaints. So I’ll be sure to avoid Vacasa for future stays. Otherwise the place was fine, very clean and spacious, nice ocean views. We could have lived without swarms of yellow jackets in the bushes out front.

Perfect Place !

Beautiful house ! Very comfortable beds and showers were nice ! Well stocked kitchen . Does not have Cable or satellite Tv, streaming services only . Great location for ease going to the grocery store and very good restaurants .

Great stay in Wells

We booked this house mainly due to its size and the fact that we were traveling with extended family for a wedding in town. We were super comfortable here; the house is spacious and very clean! Beach views from the front and coastal views from the rear. We especially enjoyed the kitchen and living area being open so we could all visit and the bedrooms on a separate floor so everyone could retreat to privacy, when family time was on overload. The only caution would be the stairs- if you are mobility compromised or have brave toddlers, there are 3 flights of stars. This was not an issue for us whatsoever, but worth noting to others wishing to book. Overall, we had a tremendous stay- thank you for sharing your home with us; it truly became our home away from home for this family trip.

Beautiful home, fabulous location

This home was quite perfect for our group and we would not hesitate staying again, in fact we are looking forward to it. The house has amazing views, a beautiful deck to watch the sunset and a wonderful, open area to gather and enjoy or long weekend together. There was one major issue that we had though. We went for a long weekend and met with friends from different locations, so we decided to eat at the home on Friday evening. Pot luck. Unfortunately, the oven was not working, it got warm but never hot enough to heat our dishes. After an hour checking our food we could actually pull the dishes out with our bare hands. Had to make do with stove top and microwave in small batches. Definitely needs service. Nothing to do about that and I did report it. The woman I spoke to assured us they would take care of it before the next group came in. Otherwise it would be an absolute 5 star review.

Lovely home

This home was beautiful and my husband and I along with our daughter and her husband thoroughly enjoyed our stay. However, we also had my almost 2 year old twin grandsons with us. The listing didn’t mention two staircases to get to main living area. Having open stairs was a challenge with toddlers. Also, the home was beautifully decorated but many things had to be put out of the boys reach. The location of the TV was also a challenge with two busy toddlers. However, our stay was perfect and we enjoyed our stay very much but perhaps the listing should indicate children 3 and up as no bedding accommodations were available for toddlers This is not a negative review by any means. The home was lovely!

Great Girls’ Weekend Stay

Beautiful home and perfect space & set up to comfortably accommodate our whole group. Great location for fun bars and restaurants. Check in was simple and anything we needed seemed to be there. Would highly recommend!

Amazing stay!

Great property, well maintained and very clean- kitchen has a ton of serving dishes and small appliances which is always a win! Close to so many things! Looking forward to going back!

Beautiful Home

This home is beautiful and has wonderful space for a large group. You truly can't beat the views or proximity to the beach. Easy to access, everything was it was advertised, and the setup had nice little extras (e.g. travel sized soaps/shampoo). Ideal for our friend get-away. We would absolutely look to come back. Only downside is the third party management lacked the ability to provide helpful information about the house/local area and responses to questions felt automated and not specific to the request (e.g. question about parking sent me to a google search).

This has everything you're looking for your vacation

Our group, age 65+, enjoyed this house. The ocean view in front, the wildlife marsh out back. Porch outback seated our group of five easily. Bald eagles nesting in view! The kitchen was well equipped, we enjoyed a lobster dinner at the house, however we needed lobster crackers. If you are physically challenged, you'll want to consider the 3 flights of stairs to access all levels. We loved the 2nd floor layout, each bedroom has a private bath. Living level on the upper level, again seated all of us (9) for dinner and lounging in the living room. Our party of 5 bedrooms were great. We felt the house could be a little cleaner, windows washed once a month, at least from the inside, counter in the kitchen could have been cleaner, baseboard wall in kitchen had something dried on it...but overall, it was acceptable, especially clean in bathrooms and floors. The caretakers were prompt with help about the internet connection issue. The house is located on the quieter part of the street. We would definitely stay here again.

Family Vacation

We loved the Sunset View for the great accommodations, the awesome location and the beautiful sunsets. Our family loved spending days on the beach and afternoons out on the marsh crabbing and paddle boarding. The only thing that could be improved is the communication about beach rules, when trash pick up is, etc.

Rainy vacation

Our family enjoyed staying in this beautiful home! We did have trouble getting TV to work and were disappointed when we didn’t have a bureau in two of the rooms to put our belongings in. Overall we found the home to be very comfortable despite these minor inconveniences! Loved the location!

Amazing property

This is a property that is beautiful inside and looking out. Views of the marshes or ocean from every room. EVERYTHING a you need is there and more. We did not want to leave.

A beautiful home in Wells

We enjoyed our stay in this home very much. We were across a small road from beach homes. We could see the ocean from many rooms and 2 porches, and we enjoyed the view and ocean breezes. The tidal area in back of this home was very nice, with some beautiful birds and bird song. The home was beautiful, comfortable, and clean. We loved the top floor living and dining area. This home is obviously loved and cared for. The WiFi worked well too. We loved Wells in May, and we loved this home.

Time of our lives....

My mother, daughter, aunt and (2) cousins spent a long weekend on the coast of Maine in this wonderful home. I was the perfect location - close to small town for quick errands and food but also not too far from big cities (Portland and Boston) for entertainment and travel. Very private location and a short walk across the street to the beach to watch the sunrise - AMAZING!! The home was VERY clean and extremely comfortable for the 6 of us (a few more people would not have been as issue either) The negative thing I could mention with the home was that everything was up stairs... my 70+-year old mother didn't love that. But....once she got all the way to the third level she LOVED it. Great views and outdoor seating were a huge plus. Would recommend and would definitely stay here again!

Customer Service Lacking and 2 Steep Flights of Stairs to Living Areas Not Mentioned in Listing

The views were stunning, the house was perfectly cleaned and situated. However, the description of the listing did not disclose that upon entry to the house you would immediately have to climb very steep 12+ stairs and then another set of very steep 12+stairs to get to the kitchen and living room. The bedrooms are on the 2nd level and the kitchen and living room are on the 3rd level. Additionally, this was the first rental with VRBO where there was no contact with the owner; all contact was through a rental company that is not located anywhere near the state of Maine. When the Nor'easter hit on the Tuesday during our week stay, and flights were cancelled, it was extremely frustrating being told that to extend a day would be at a potentially a "higher cost" because the price "fluctuates throughout the day with Vacasa rentals". We ended up not opting to stay another day. Lastly, one of the guests may have left an ipad charger and I reached out to the rental company to ask if the cleaning crew found it. I was texted a message that said to simply look for the item would cost "$25.00 regardless if the item was found, and then additional amount for shipping", even after telling them I had family nearby that could pick it up. Honestly, that was the last straw for me and I felt that it was time to write an honest review. I have never left a negative review for any home we have rented on VRBO, but this rental experience felt purely transactional, and the customer service was significantly lacking compared to being able to reach out to an owner. I thought going through VRBO meant that the rentals were through "the owner".
