"The property was of a basic nature and very tired in places. The bathroom paint was peeling off the walls. The bed was a small queen bed that wasn't big enough for 2 adults to get a good night sleep. The mattress was very thin and uncomfortable. Due to this we left the property early and had to book a hotel. I also tried to contact the property as advised by Sykes cottages, but my calls were unanswered and not returned. Overall a disappointing stay. There are plenty of better rentals available."

The location on the Bolesworth estate is very grand and this is emphasised the moment the estate gates open for you and you progress along the drive to the property. "We stayed 2 nights here, the hot tub was clean and ready for when we arrived. The bed was very comfy! And everything was clean and tidy. The pod was Warm cosy and very private. The hamper was a cute addition! They provide a book of local things to do and places to eat which was helpful. They are things to do near by like lockdown escape rooms, Liverpool and Southport. Plenty of Ubers around too! We had a lovely few nights away x"
