「Great value for money in a nice location. The staff were very nice in particular the owner and the room was comfortable and fine. The full English breakfast was served very quickly and was lovely. This is a thriving pub and a true find.」

「This was a one night stay on our way to Edinburgh with our dogs. It was exactly what we needed a comfortable, clean and well equipped room right next to a lovely pub that is also dog friendly. Sonia and the team couldn't do enough for us, fetching water for our dogs after a long journey. Asking if we had everything we needed. We had a good meal that night and a lovely breakfast the following morning. Such a friendly place, we will definitely be back!」

「It was a wonderful night spent at Super8! Very clean and spacious room and shower/toilet, such helpful staff too, even in the middle of the night! My cot was set up in the room before we arrived and my infant went straight to bed, they were kind enough to give us extra beddings too. I would honestly go back again, it was an excellent stay. 」

「Stayed for 3 nights over New Year...was absolute bliss.
Late booking and the communication was brilliant to get it sorted.
Cottage was immaculate throughout with everything we needed.
Perfect location for walks, and yet only 5 minutes from shops and Durham centre
