"Absolutely loved my stay here. Allowed me to leave bags before check in. Attention to detail like wiping my suitcase wheels before taking onto tatami was amazing. Welcome tea and room/meal plans were so cute and loved the lady who served tea. Convenient shop and vending machine. "It’s a old ryokan passed it prime time. It’s basically not bad, but is old and run down. Maybe the Covid period made it worse as the condition of the ryokan deteriorated further without upgrades. Service is good. Far away from city center but there’s shuttle bus."

"This is by far the nicest and most comfortable place we have stayed. The gentleman at the front helped us out hugely when our credit card was frozen. The room was freshly renovated and clean. Super comfortable beds with a small kitchen was great as we usually make our own breakfast. It’s walkable to restaurants and grocery stores. Train was a 5 minute walk as was the streetcar. I’d stay here anytime. "

"Stayed for first night in Hakodate. Was able to leave bags at front desk because I had arrived early. Very sweet check-in lady at front desk. Upstairs public bath was a nice addition, both indoor and outdoor. Pillow corner was really cool but get there early or you will miss out like me. Room was spacious and clean and had great layout. My favorite of the non resort/ryokan hotels I stayed at on this trip. Was able to keep bags at the front desk while I explored Goryokaku Park before my next check in❤️ Great team, service, location, room, and value. Would stay again."
