「Loved our stay at the Menhaden! Everything was great especially the staff who went beyond our expectations...from offering us champagne and my husband a great mocktail to cleaning the snow off our car! The place is so pretty and the bar has all fun games & all albums you can play. The king room was large, no bath though :( and it was a bit cold in there, they did try and fix it though. Breakfast and goodies available all day on our floor with sodas, water, coffee and cappuccinos :). 」

「Cabin was clean, well appointed and very comfortable. The staff immediately responded at 7am when we called to reset the hot water heater. The Solo fire pit looked very tempting but we did not have the time to enjoy that. will be back!」

「This place was a dream. Super comfortable. The host has thought of everything, including a sweet holiday welcome gift. Everything is in walking distance- I didn't use my car for 2 days. It was wonderful to walk along the water into town. What a great retreat! 」

「What a very special place this is. Wilfred and Vida are truly brilliant hosts. When we arrived they sat with us and had a lovely chat about the house and the area, recommended places to eat and provided lots of local intelligence. Tea and coffee is served in the room at 8am followed by a very generous and delicious breakfast. The two of them are a totally charming couple with their great sense of humour, stories and kindness They could give lessons on what true hospitality should be. 」

Great area in walking distance to town as well. Host is always available for quick communications.well. 」

「Pat was great, picked me up from the train station and brought me to the grocery store to grab some supplies. Place was cozy and super quiet/peaceful. I was here in January so I'd love to come back in the summer and enjoy the beach, which is right on the property.」
