"Second stay, just as enjoyable as the first. Staff are friendly, rooms are a good size though it can be a bit of a walk from reception and a little maze like. Nice location although the building itself is showing signs of its age. Spa downstairs is well equipped and there are lots of peacocks wandering around the grounds. Area is very nice, close to Snowdon, not too far from Chester or the coast. "

"The cottage was in a lovely location but was difficult to find as there are no signs for it at the end of the lane. Once we found it, it had everything we needed. Lovely and quiet with fantastic views. Balcony in need of a clean and dishwasher wasn't working but apart from that we really enjoyed our stay. Hot tub was fantastic."

"Excellent staff, beautiful building and decor, everything was very clean and well maintained - our room was absolutely wonderful! We ate dinner and breakfast in the restaurant and both were delicious! Service in the bar was super friendly and the cocktails were very tasty! The only thing I would say is that the soundproofing between our room and the bar wasn’t great, so we could hear everything. It didn’t bother us at all as we had earplugs, and it quietened down from about 10:30pm. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and felt it was very good value."

"Superior room was excellent, welcoming and well presented on arrival. The guests living room was a great place to spend a cosy evening in front of the wood burning stove. Breakfast was excellent, fresh produce and good choice, and the fresh eggs were memorable. The electric charge point was a bonus. "

The beds were lovely and comfortable and the property manager went out of her way to give clear instructions and to help as much as she could. Situation was ideal with a specified easily accessed car parking space."

"Gavin and Christopher have put a lot of thought into giving you an enjoyable stay at the Manorhaus Ruthin. The rooms are decorated reflecting welsh designs. The dining room has beautiful sculptures. The bed was very comfortable and the breakfasts were delicious with a lot of choice. The coffee was excellent. Overall we had a great week end stay. The Manorhaus is only minutes walking into the centre where there are several excellent eateries/restaurants"
