This was a fantastical hotel for my 8 day stay. It was very clean. The staff were great! They speak English, they're friendly, helpful, and very courteous. Checking in and out was easy, simple, and straightforward. The cleaning staff were also great! Since I stayed consecutive nights, they cleaned my room on a schedule without hurting the environment. They would leave an amenities package at my door conveniently hung whenever I returned from my day's outing. The room was great and more than I needed. Very clean and was kept clean. Remarkable toilet with bidet. TV with free VOD for those times in between. Nice comfy bed and pillows with very convenient lighting control with digital clock.Also had a nice little fridge to store my drinks that I bought and barely drank. There are 2 stations nearby with quick ease and access to the Yamanote Line, Oedo Line, or Fukutoshin Line to get where you need around Tokyo. There's lots of food and convenience stores around as well! It's very quiet in the mornings but quite lively later into the day and night as well as being near Kabukicho. This was an overall fantastic and awesome experience. This was the perfect place for my solo travel. This met my every need and expectations. I can't stress how great the room was for myself, location and access to where I wanted to go, the hospitality of the staff, and cleanliness. Great job! Would highly recommend and repeat!

Hotel was close to popular tourist spot Shinjuku. Close to many restaurants and nightlife. Room was small but comfortable. No hairdryer available. No coin laundry either but 24 hour coin laundry was close by. Short-ish walk to the train station, about 11-13 minutes. Friendly and helpful staff. Good price for the area.

Me and my boyfriend booked this hotel for our first ever trip to Japan. I rate it 3.5/5 stars. Not in a bad way though! -The hotel is clean and very quiet. Even if you have an open window that is facing the busy streets you can't hear much. -Me and my boyfriend are 5'8 and the double beds were perfect. -Be aware there are MANY APA Hotels in this area within 0.5 miles of each other so make sure you're navigating to the right one. -Even though the hotel knew 2 people would be staying for 7 days the room was very small and left very little room to walk comfortably and have suitcases to dig through. (But we were out all day everyday so it did not matter) -Staff were very friendly and always willing to help us. -The Higashi Shinjuku Kabukicho hotel was near everything, very close to Shinjuku Station.

This is our second time at this location. It’s super convenient, especially for meeting with our friends in Japan. Our room did have some damage to the walls, which I assume was the fault of other travelers. If you are coming to Japan, please respect the place you are staying and the hospitality workers. Not doing so reflects poorly on other foreigners and makes everyone’s life harder

Definitely does the job in terms of having a place to stay. But don't expert too much comfort. The air conditioner was very noisy. The bed was fine, but pillows are horrendous. The shower head never produced any lukewarm water, it was always scalding. The bathtub is also very tiny if you're over 5'8" and want to take a bath. It was nice they give you one free bottle of water on the day you check in. I think this place might say they have laundry machines, but it doesn't. Overall, it's fine.

I usually stay in this area, it's very convenient and lots of good places to eat nearby. It's in a party neighborhood but that doesn't bother me at all.

Good location. Walkable to Shinjuku Center, Shinjuku Station and subway stations. Rooms are very small with no closet space or even a drawer to store clothes. No room for suitcases either.

Cleaning staff super loud in the hallways every morning. Slamming doors, speaking too loud—when I’ve been out in Golden Gai until 2am or 3am have some respect for your guests to sleep. Also, none of the staff in the hallways would greet me or ask if I needed anything. There are so many other choices in Shinjuku, even different APAs which I will choose next time.

Stayed in a single-person room and it felt smaller than other Japanese hotels. Bathroom felt especially tiny and not suited for taller visitors. Two subway stations in walkable distance made for easy travel. While close to Kabukicho, it was already far enough to be in a quiet and calm area. Breakfast menu was decent, but going there immediately made my clothing smell of food for rest of the day.

Good hotel except for a single minor complaint, the shower head was not properly installed and I had to fix it in order to use the shower properly.

Bathroom sink was leaking, room was small, but bed was comfortable. I was rarely in there anyways. Great location, however watch out. It is near the red light district. Completely safe, just annoying touts trying to get you to come in for “1 drink”
