"The house was in the best location — perfect walking distance to shops and everything we wanted to explore, and we loved being so close to the beach. The views were absolutely beautiful. The house had a great layout and had everything we needed. We also really appreciated that it was pet-friendly. We lucked out with the weather; it wasn’t too hot and there was a nice breeze the whole time. Air conditioning would have been a nice bonus (even though we knew going in that the house doesn’t have it). The only downside was cleanliness — the walls and carpet were pretty dirty and could have used a deeper clean."

"This garage apartment on Balboa Island, is a historic unit, recently updated and very cute. The pictures in the listing are accurate and it is decorated in a fun, eclectic, nautical decor. It is comfortable and a good location, a quick 2 block walk to shops and restaurants and just down the street from the beach. Garage parking was a huge plus! I highly recommend this apartment and would stay there again!! The only down side was that the 2 garage apartments across the alley were both under construction and noisy, but there is always construction on the Island and it's the luck of the draw if you are able to be away from it."

"This property is quintessential Balboa Island at its finest. I loved staying here and would stay again in a heartbeat. The host was lovely and responsive, and the interior decor magical to me. Most comfortable bed I may have ever slept in as well. ;)) Enjoy your stay and if you love coffee and nice people, pop down to Jasper Coffee for a cuppa."
