"Staff was friendly. Suited our one night stay."

"On arrival I was greeted by the owner who kindly took my suitcase to my room on the upper floor. My room was very clean and tidy with everything I needed. There were tea and coffee making facilities in the room with ample supplies. The bathroom was very clean and the shower was lovely and hot. Breakfast was superb and hot, served in a lovely bright and spacious room, overlooking a pretty little garden at one end. I have already booked another stay. Would definitely recommend this property. It’s in a great location and in the heart of a beautiful town."

"The personnel is what makes this hotel so. They were all so very helpful and friendly. There is also a beautiful park across the street. Breakfast buffet was very good."

"No pool due to maintenance which was a real upset. Rooms were basic, clean and no issues for the price. We had ordered connecting rooms and had to ask for the door to be opened between them. Breakfast was good only negative was the coffee machine didn’t warm the milk. We tried 3 times and it was always the same. Good for one or two nights and free parking was a bonus."

"The staff were friendly and the room was clean and the bed comfortable but the decorating was clearly done by an amateur! Maybe the hotel inspector needed for the rooms at this price. We didn’t buy breakfast but were given coffee and cereal. "

"Vastly overpriced and understaffed for what it is. Reminded me of a 1970's idea of what a reasonable hotel was. Positives: the staff are great but not enough of them. If they're on minimum wage it's criminal, they were so busy and deserve a LOT more. Negatives: Executive room, really? Separate toilet and bathroom with 1970's rendering on the walls. The TV is one step up from Cathode ray tubes, no casting here! Air con? Nope, you get a fan, in any colour as long as its white! Restaurant, apparently opens at 6pm but no-one there til 6.45. Gave up and went to the local Italian. Breakfast, nearly £20 per person and one, yes 1 Coffee machine for a restaurant that looks like it accommodates 100+. We waited nearly 15 minutes for Coffee by which time our breakfast was cold. The hotels one and only redeeming feature is it proximity to the docks. That's it. And at £260 per night per room you know it's a scam. Avoid, stay further out of town and use the short stay car parks by the docks."

"Picked this hotel as a stop off for the ferry to jersey. Had everything we needed. Breakfast really good. Had to pay for parking which we didn’t really appreciate."
