「場所が少し不便な所にあり、しかも急な坂道を登らないといけないのが少し不便だった。延泊し2泊したが1泊目の部屋が暖房が効いておらず寒かった。2泊目の部屋は暖かった。建物の外観、部屋の雰囲気はとても良かった。またお風呂は広く快適だった。朝食は数種類から選べ、2種類食べたがどちらも美味しかった。パンとサーモンが美味しい。 夜はホテルに併設しているインド料理を食べたが、宿泊者は割引があり、味も美味しかった。 ダラムに着いて初めての宿泊先、食事だったが、こちらのホテルのおかげで、ダラムの印象が良いものとなった。」

「Great location, so close to town centre, fantastic host, George couldn’t do enough for us. Lovely room overlooking the quiet cobblestone one way street in view of the cathedral. Breakfast has a selection that is cooked to order and is amazing, the full English is a must. Had a wonderful short stay that couldn’t have been better, thanks 40 Winks」

「Absolutely outstanding guest house - I was really impressed from the moment I arrived. The room was enormous and very comfortable, with everything I needed. It was the perfect temperature and almost unnervingly quiet and peaceful. The bed was very comfortable and everything was spotless. Breakfast was great, and the owners were very accommodating.」

「While a 10-15 minute walk from downtown, the scenery and location were gorgeous and quaint. The staff, the room, the breakfast, and the stay were just what we were looking for. We took the train to Durham, dropped our packs off at the inn, and spent the rest of the day walking around town and along the river. 」

「It’s a lovely hotel and very convenient stop. The staff were super friendly and helpful. We only had breakfast but it was delicious and plenty of it. The decor was lovely but needed a bit of tidying and the vase on the table needed a clean. I’m not keen on fake flowers which gather dust and the winter sun shows the glass vase needing a polish. I’m being picky hoping I’m being helpful. It was a fab stay and I thoroughly recommend it and would stay again. 」
