In addition to the many trade buildings and office blocks, the district also retains its traditional identity through its market and temples. For a more bohemian and artistic shopping experience, visit the Songshan Cultural and Creative Park. The warehouses of this former tobacco factory contain all types of art exhibits, history displays and cafés. Understand the traditions of Taipei at the Sung Shan Tsu Huei Temple. Its interior is covered in gold-leaf décor and a statue devoted to the Yaochi Jinmu deity.

Xinyi is a little southeast of the center of Taipei, in northern Taiwan. Ride the Bannan Line or the Tamsui-Xinyi Line to one of the metro stations dotted around the area. While in this region, make sure to visit surrounding zones such as the Wenshan District, the Nangang District and the Yonghe District.
