I saw someone share photos of this Onsen on instagram and had to see if they had rooms available. I’m so glad I did! The property is stunning, the staff are incredibly warm and kind, and the food was exceptional. I got a room with a balcony over the fish pond and a private bath and I enjoyed every second of my stay. I will absolutely come back the next time I am in Japan. Beautiful Ryokan with caring staff and a delicious breakfast!

The staff was incredibly nice and the incl. buffet breakfast and omakase dinner was excellent. The in room private onsen was very nice with views of Mt. Fuji. The nightly drum show was a nice touch. 10/10 recommend!

It was very fun to be so pampered and taken care of. As soon as we arrived, the staff were there ready to pamper us. One of the ladies spoke English, and was very helpful in navigating our first stay at a Ryokan. Dinner was very fun. The onsens were an exciting new experience as well. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

A unique experience! Comfortable, very clean, and the staff were very hospitable. The onsen were very relaxing. Most notable was the food—absolutely stunning presentation and very interesting (we are new to Japanese food). The ryokan is on the quieter side of town but it’s still possible to walk to the attractions, especially on the path beside the lake.

The clean room, bedding, and new open-air bath were the best bathing time to feel the green and scent of the trees. The amount of food is appropriate and good. All-inclusive snacks are nice if there are more salty things. I'm grateful that I had a very comfortable and wonderful time. The staff were all smiling and very kind.

The place and location is beautiful. Rooms were big and amenities were accessible. FYI this place caters for locals and if you’re looking for adventurers, food sampling and authenticity this is the place for you. Beautiful property and private onsen. Very spacious room (regular room) with great features like sights into the private garden, additional seating and luggage area, large bathroom and our favorite part, the private onsen. The onsen was a very nice stone material great for two and a perfect temperature of 42/107 degrees. Great bathroom and large t.v. A great experience, friendly staff and the room was spacious and clean. We got a western style room.

Staff was very kind and accommodating. Bath was very nice. Elevators were small and had to wait around a long time to catch an elevator when the facility was crowded. Food was beautiful and fresh, but a little advanced for kids. Wish they had a little bit more western breakfast choices. Rooms and futons were comfortable and clean. Facility could be updated a little bit, but overall was acceptable stay. Thank you.

The highlight of our two week trip through Japan! The staff were so friendly and helpful. Many amenities were provided. The view of Fuji from our room was exceptional. The dinner was one of the best meals I’ve ever had in my life! 1000/10 would recommend this very special place to anyone looking for a unique stay in Fujikawaguchiko!
