Hotel was clean. They served breakfast and dinner. Location is good. My friend and I walked into town and it was about 30minutes walk. My only issue however was that there was an unpleasant smell in our room. I had booked a window room but it turned out the window room was in the middle of the corridor not a window you could view the outside from .

This is a great place to just sleep and go (which is what we did) They have a shared FULL kitchen which is awesome to cook your own food to save some money from the food prices in Iceland. My only problems with this stay: no staff. at all. so if you wanted extra towels- tuff. my blanket was clearly stained from previous guests but you could tell it was cleaned- but it was really off putting to see that and couldn't really do anything about it either.

"We had an excellent stay at Skalakot and wished we could have stayed longer. The property is so beautiful and our room was very spacious. We also really enjoyed the fireplace lounge after dinner. The spa was worth the extra fee and a very relaxing experience. Dinner was so delicious and relaxing ..."
