"We are very happy about our stay: the house is in a calm area but not too far from the main road ; Suresh has been a great host and very helpful to plan the rest of our trip. We asked for a typical local breakfast, which was very good and we enjoyed Suresh's explanations on the different dishes. Definitely recommended!"

Conveniently located, we were amazed to be in the heart of Colombo one second, and in a beautifully manicured garden with a perfectly designed pool surrounded by large trees and fauna. Our room was nestled tastefully in this oasis to provide us a serene and peaceful experience. Everything slowed down for us as soon as we arrived. The two owners, Christoff and Pascal, have obviously worked hard to build a personal and relaxing experience...

"2/5 staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Others are either aloof or chronically absent. Can't find the chef/someone to make lunch or dinner. Breakfast is just as bland as most hotels in the district. Good, modern design! Best looking accommodations in the area for the price. Room was clean and comfy BUT no desk and chair. NO leaks in my room despite many storms. Extremely loud street noise all day and night; vehicles, people, audio slogans etc. Blasting! Sitting area has outlets nowhere...

"I recently visited Colombo for 5 days in October 2025 and stayed at 50 by the Sea - Had an excellent stay there and all my expectations were met - at times went above the expectations also. The apartment looks very new, is very well maintained and most importantly, its extremely clean. Ive visited Colombo many times and many times, I faced the issue of not so clean bathrooms at some residences - at 50 by the Sea, the bathrooms were so clean and neat that it looked like a 5 star hotel's...
