"Always a great experience. Parked easily (free) and checked in swiftly. Offered a different room as air con was playing up. Accepted a twin. Lovely room, fresh clean beds and towels. Quiet. Had a drink in bar. Breakfast included was more than adequate. For the price it’s excellent!"

"Disappointed that we were sent over to the pub after visiting the main building and looking forward to seeing our room. Room in old pub was quiet and had everything we needed although desktop fan was very dusty. Bed very comfy , shower very powerful. Pub very empty so no ambiance and the music was terrible so didn’t stay for long. Spa was perfect but missed out on the mud rasul room which wasn’t mentioned within the £50 we paid for 2. Staff all very accommodating although on checking out the lady was sat on her phone which wasn’t very professional. Made slight comment on welcome day about us eating out at The Farmers Dog which wasn’t needed. Over all would recommend as stunning location and pleasant stay just ask for room in main building."

"I liked the hotel overall and thought the staff were all really nice! The swimming pool and steam room were good and bar was nice too! The reception areas also nice! My issue however was we were given a room that absolutely reeked of dog! As we’d been to races and then went to health club we didn’t really notice until 10pm and couldn’t be bothered to change! Seems there had been a doggie convention there a few days before and although sanitised and clean the room really smelled! I’d give the hotel another go but dont think they should put guests in rooms until smell has gone ! I’d ask to move next time ! Bed was super comfortable though and I think overall was good value stay"

"We enjoyed a very nice five day stay. The ground floor of the hotel is very Manor House style. It is cosy with areas to relax in with comfortable furniture. It has a good dining room and also a separate bar, the Oak Bar, where you can enjoy a drink and a lighter meal. The gardens are attractive and there is ample parking space. We particularly enjoyed the cold and hot breakfast options available. Our standard room was a decent size and the bathroom was larger than normal with a separate bath and shower. We did not use the spa facilities. It is conveniently located just outside Cirencester and is approximately a 20 minute walk into town. We would definitely stay at this hotel again if we were in the area."

"The Garden wing is uninspiring upon arrival but inside is first class for quality and cleanliness. Room and en suite nicely furnished and laid out. Not a big room so, with the extremely high temperatures during our stay, became very warm. No aircon but a fan was already in situ. The main building was lovely and cool with doors open for through draughts and aircon in the restaurant. The grounds were excellent for walking and the gardens have great potential. Good quality food. Service good throughout - especially considering a wedding celebration was being hosted. Disappointed that disabled bays were occupied by a works van and two cars - none of which were displaying blue badges. Shouldn't be difficult to monitor as car reg is input on arrival."
