River front Cottage

"My husband and I wanted to take our grandkids camping, but the thought of us sleeping in a tent was not that appealing to us at our age. The kids ranged from 8-15. We decided to rent this ultra private home on the river. The view was absolutely amazing. The entire area was beautiful. The house was also beautiful inside. It has an open floor plan with the bathroom being the only room with a door. It was large enough and spread out enough that we had plenty of room for all of us. The kitchen was full of dishes, pots, pans, and everything we needed. We had forgotten ketchup, and there was even a new bottle of ketchup in a cupboard. It seems the owner had thought of everything! There was a large TV with a selection of videos. The home was very clean and comfortable. There was a canoe to use as well. My husband and grandkids really enjoyed fishing. We brought games to play, but found that there was a lot of games already there. I saw some games for younger kids, but we didn't really go through them so I can't say what other games there are for and older group. We had fires and overall a fantastic time together. There was a pizza shop and Dollar General 15 minutes away. We got pizza one of the nights and everyone loved it. No one wanted to leave. We've already reserved dates in October. I'm betting the fall foliage is stunning there. We are really looking forward to going back! Thank you, Rocco!!"

"The place was well furnished with lots of amenities. It was very clean and modern. Parking was a little tight for three trailers w atv’s to ride the trails. Need to bring or buy your own firewood. We had trouble with the main door lock and handle. Sometimes we were locked out and sometimes locked IN, which was a safety concern . Handle and lock just need to be replaced . Screen door had some tearing on the bottom and doesn't slide well, so it did let some flies in. Dryer doesnt dry clothes well. The location was right along a busy highway which was noisy, but at the same time it was just about 10 or 15 minutes from the Whiskey Springs trailhead. Super convenient! The game table was so nice on a rainy evening! We played all kinds of memory games, coloring, black jack etc. ping pong table was fun too. And corn hole boards were provided too. Made a nice dinner using the grill on the side porch . Beds are a little soft for us, but some people like them that way . All in all it was a great place to stay and make happy memories with friends in the beautiful PA Wilds!"

"We had the most amazing trip thanks to our host! The home was the perfect spot to bring our families together, plenty of space and sleeping, TONS of activities and easy private creek access. The property was clean spacious and secluded. We felt right at home and cannot wait to book again next summer for another unforgettable weekend"

"The cottage was very nice and the area is simply beautiful and peaceful. Unfortunately we were not given the correct check in code but the owner was responsive to our calls and we were able to get into the cottage a short time later with the correct code. We would stay again!"
