"Although our hotel wasn't as close to the airport as we expected, it was a nice place to stay rich with history. The building was delightfully old and quirky, which is why we chose it. The staff was attentive and the restaurant and pub welcoming. There was a patio that looked cozy, but we arrived in the rain so we didn't get to use it. The bathrooms were luxurious, the beds comfortable and the rooms spacious. Taxi from here to terminal 3 was $20, but from the airport was double as they don't...

"Hotel staff were really friendly and helpful. Pub staff also, and kindly gave my father no less than 5 different tasters of beers so he could decide what to drink! Lovely quirky interior - looks small from the outside but had lots of different small dining areas inside. Only tiny drawback was the very steep hill up from the rooms furthest away from reception. I hadn't seen it flagged on anything but that may have been because I used a third party site to book online"

"We absolutely loved staying at the Crown and Cushion. Our bed was very comfortable and we slept well The staff was amazing. We were greeted by Ellie and she was wonderful. Breakfast was delicious and we felt like we were treated so kindly. In the evening we had a pint at the bar and our server was Costas. He was a delight. We enjoyed talking with him. "Excellent service. They went beyond the call of duty when I asked for ice for an event my daughter was helping organise at the cinema just 100 yards or so away. The answer was would a bin liner full be enough! Fantastic food and A class breakfast. Only downside is no black pudding!"

"As soon as we artived the owner met us and took us ti our topm. Explained the entry procedure. The room was quite basic but clean and comfortable and more than acceptable for the price of the accomodation. The only slight doenside we were led to believe there was a bar and food but it is currently being reurbushed."

"We stayed for 3 days after our 14-night cruise and were able to wash and dry all our clothes. The washing machine was very handy. The provided clothes hanger had seen better days but we made it work. The location was fabulous and close to heaps of restaurants and pubs. We caught the local bus to Lewes for fun and had a great day. The apartment is quiet and comfortable. We would recommend to stay here. "
