The pub itself is lovely with excellent food and atmosphere and the staff are friendly and helpful. The accommodation which was built in 2018 is in need of a refurb though - new carpets and a lick of paint would be welcomed with a tv remote that worked! But the bed was comfy and clean and a free glass of wine in compensation for a dodgy remote so all in all a very good experience
Absolutely incredible food - the staff couldn’t do enough for us in the restaurant when our fussy daughter was getting anxious. I never usually have pudding but I had to with the options they had and I’m so glad I did! Breakfast again was such good quality and yummy. The room was great and the bedding really comfy
Very nice stay and good pub
Room was large, clean and comfortable and extremely quiet too
Parking was a plenty would definitely recommend to others

Been several times to this wonderful pub, but this year we ate the most amazing food! The stafff are very friendly and the atmosphere was fabulous. We would definitely recommend The Lion
Welcoming staff, food excellent standard and quality. Rooms were spacious & very well appointed. The only downside was the sofa bed was very uncomfortable.
The Lion is a traditional pub/hotel in a lovely quiet village. The staff are very pleasant and helpful, food is excellent, rooms are spacious and clean with tea and coffee facilities. We will return here and I recommend staying here.

Lovely old pub but beautifully fitted out for contemporary comfort. Very handy for a journey on M40 but in quiet pretty village.
Really surprised by how nice this was. Gorgeous pub and really nice rooms in a separate building.
Standard of food is so unbelievably high! Make sure you come here for dinner too
Easy to find and a good location as it’s near not far from M40 or to Bicester Village and train station ( the latter being an approx 10 minute drive).
The staff were nice and the room was spacious and clean.
The bathroom was nice although the shower heads shot out water in random directions which was a bit annoying. Bit of descaling would sort that out easily.
There was plenty of parking and the accommodation was across a courtyard from the pub.i would imagine a nice spot in the summer.
Food was good and the pub had a friendly welcoming atmosphere.
I would definitely stay here again and thank you for a good stay.
Second time we have stayed from going to Bicester Village, lovely pub, food, staff and rooms are amazing all helpful had a misunderstanding with bill and was sorted straight away cannot say anything negative really welcoming
