This is a spectacular boutique hotel! The views of the coastline and the floor-to-ceiling windows in the rooms cannot be beat. This is 5-stars for the room views, the service, the updated exquisiteness of the décor, and the added amenities (pool, balconies, outdoor dining, access to oceanfront restaurants, etc. Don’t expect a Sheraton or Hilton type place….this isn’t that, and you shouldn’t be here looking for that here. Truly the most incredible service. They gave recommendations for food right when we got there and on our last day when the ferry was canceled assisted with helping me find other transportation. Best breakfast of my life. We were celebrating my 30th birthday and they brought me a candle!! The shower was the shower of my dreams. I would recommend this place to anyone!

This was our first visit to Sorrento. The hotel was beautiful with a great full breakfast. Room was spacious, staff was friendly & the housekeepers sweet. We had dinner twice in the rooftop dinning room overlooking the bay. The sunset was amazing. The waitstaff friendly , the food five star. We also danced to the music which made it very romantic. The location was excellent, close to the lift you can take up from the port if you’re coming by boat. Close to lots of restaurants and a great view of the sea and port. We were upgraded to a king room with the largest shower I have ever seen in Italy. The front desk staff was super friendly. Daily happy hour and breakfast were wonderful perks. Would definitely recommend.

The path winding through the cliffs to the small bar and lounge chairs along the water is very unique. Very small wading pool on upper terrace. Classic double room was small and non-descript. Disappointed with the size of balcony and the sea view from room!

The Ara Maris which is referred to as the new hotel was one of my best stays at any hotel in all my travels, which is considerable. The service from all the staff whether it be registration, concierge, dining, pool, cleaning or spa wax consistently top notch. It is a physically pleasing site and is close to all the shops and restaurants in the main area of Sorrento. We were there for 8 days and could have stayed longer. Very nice hotel. Great location, very clean, and the staff were helpful. The But…The only downside was the discotheque club located beneath the hotel. Opened at 11pm until 3am. The music bass was very noticeable. Have to imagine all low floor hotel rooms hear and feel this. The three of our phones sound apps were on high volume to try to washout music.

This is a great hotel from staff to location to views. It also has probably the best restaurant on the coast, better than Eolo.
