「The stay at Mulgrave Country Cottage was wonderful. A beautiful house and gardens, peaceful and tranquil. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and the breakfast was fresh, well presented and very tasty. I would highly recommend a visit and we will definitely be returning 」

「I think the hotel is either new or newly run as they seem to be finding their feet. Check-in was 3pm to 4pm and when I called to say I might be around 6:30, I was told "it's only hour and a half from Manchester" and "there might not be anyone here after 5pm". It felt a bit abrupt in all honesty but when I arrived around 5:30 (Friday school holiday traffic), they were pleasant enough. Breakfast starts at 10:30 to 11:30 which is very late and checkout is 10am. Weird timings, hence my theory they...

「My partner and I stayed for 2 nights 15th to 17th May 2026 at Park View. Our stay could not have been any better. The kerb appeal was beautiful, a well kept building with lovely garden. We were sent a text message with instructions as we would be arriving outside the check in time. The instructions could not have been any clearer. We arrived at our room and were so impressed with the room, the decor was first class, it was very clean and tidy and the bed was so comfortable we slept so good....

「Room was not cleaned on 2 days, breakfast quality was good but service disorganised, was 1st into Breakfast last to be served. Another room was broken into in middle of night, police also had to attend following night. This was my third staying at the Waves, last 2 years excellent but this year was very poor, have cancelled booking for next year. Two other couples who have been staying each year also not booking for next year. A real shame the change from last year 」

「Rebecca is a fantastic host made us feel very welcomed and accommodating. The twin room was lovely and had a good night sleep. Breakfast was excellent, local produce and top quality, great service and really enjoyed it. Free parking was great. Close by South beachfront with up to 15min walk to beach. Definitely recommend and looking forward to booking again soon.」

「Comfortable bed, some noise from people on the landing as there was a gap at the bottom of the door but this was only a minor inconvenience. Friendly staff, plenty of teacand coffee in the room too.」
