"We needed an ADA-accessible room with a bath bench. Although the hotel had run out of bath benches, the staff went above and beyond to locate and purchase one for our stay. Everyone was incredibly friendly, accommodating, and helpful throughout our visit. The location was also perfect for us, as we were attending an event at the Hawaii Convention Center. We had a wonderful experience and truly appreciated the exceptional customer service."

"Stayed here for a night, in one of the high up rooms before flying home to the UK and absolutely loved Pagoda! The room was super clean and peaceful and had tasteful modern decor and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel staff were professional and helpful, it has a in store shop, outdoor pool and laundry room, but it’s Koi pond and Japanese garden is the main event.. real oasis inside a busy city! Bonus point for being within walking distance to Ala Moana Beach which I think is much nicer swimming than Waikiki! Will stay again if we’re ever in Honolulu :)"

"Clean, basic hotel close to airport. When we arrived, we couldn't get an answer from rhe shuttle line so paid $20 for a taxi. Very good quality sushi restaurant/takeaway (Mitch's Fish Market - BYO only) 10 mins walk away, but otherwise no obvious dining options in this industrial area next to the base. Breakfast was limited cafeteria style but ok for us. Morning shuttle runs top of the hour and worked well - just be in reception when it leaves."

Paradise Bay Resort

"The setting and ambience of Paradise Resort was pretty fabulous but then I am partial to lush greenery, soft emerald green mountains with mists swirling at their peaks and wonderful birdsong. Also a few crazy roosters which added to the character. The bed was incredibly comfortable and a real sense of privacy in the room / studio enhanced by the balcony overlooking the hills and pool. Pool was fabulous. The reception where you can hang out to the dulcit tones of their five evenings a week Hawaiian singer, has a totally wonderful view of the mountains and skies. Staff were efficient and very helpful. The ONLY minus points which can be easily rectified was a bedside unit and light missing from one side of the bed. Also the bathroom desperately needs shelving which could easily be done. Lastly, a few powder creamers would be a boon along with the coffee when you arrive late and tired. Another point was the parking cost which other than being the only resort we stayed at which charged was hiked up prior to our arrival. It was reduced back when we complained but it it felt a bit out of order. Otherwise well worth a longer visit than the five nights we had. A fortnight would have been a treat!"
