「Dan and Annie are a great couple to work with. The property that we stayed in was the cabin. It is clean and well stocked. The property sits right on the Mississippi so one can enjoy the scenery, barges going up and down and all over river traffic. You wont be disappointed in choosing to stay here. Bellevue itself is a very friendly town within walking distance to shops,bars and restaurants.」

「Quick response to our question when we got there. Quiet and peaceful, I never heard the barges go by. Easy to find. Short drive to town for groceries and to Maquoketa Cave State Park. Daughters thought their beds upstairs were a little hard (personal preference), but the one downstairs was very comfortable. Well stocked kitchen. Best set of skillets I have seen in a rental.」

「Ensure you have AWD or 4WD and good tires. It’s a 10 miles drive on a very muddy/gravel, low maintained road with lots of holes. There were several times my van almost got stuck and I was sliding all over the road. The tree and water fountain were very cute but there were 2 dead mice around the bottom of the tree, inside the cabin. The road/driveway outside of the cabin was pure mud deep mud. She was very helpful and answered all our questions and addressed any of our needs immediately. We are looking forward to staying here again.」
