I can't say enough about the friendliness of the staff and their helpfulness. The food in the Sand Bar Pub & Grill was delicious and staff was great. The motel itself needs some updating. It is old and musty smelling. There needs to be some maintenance done on it.

This was our second time staying here...a year ago and this time. The hotel bar was fun with our group of friends we stayed with! The staff was friendly and accommodating! The drinks were good! The breakfast was VERY limited, so our group of 10 went to a restaurant for breakfast!

Staff was very helpful and friendly. That being said, the room was below expected. The stairs to the second floor smelled musty and damp. The room was also musty smelling. The mattress was wore out with a large divet in the middle like I was sleeping in a hammock. The TV was a Roku, the size of a computer monitor with the standard free streaming channels. No cable or antenna. No elevator stairs only. Needs a big upgrade.

Things were all older and dated, but everything was clean. Bedsheets were so old they were nubby. Bathroom was fine with very soft water. Included breakfast was marginal, with pop tarts and weak coffee. It was interesting having a busy bar in the midst of the building, adding character. It is also a gathering place for both Harley bikers and golfers for the adjacent course; quite a contrast. It's the only place around, so if we go to another concert in Mt.Carroll, we'll probably stay again.

The room was nice enough, the bed was really comfortable. The only complaint, there was no coffee pot in the room...i mean, yes, there was a mini fridge and microwave, but no coffee pot. Other than that the room was fine. The breakfast was less than desireable. Not sure what was going on there...I didnt see anything onther than cold ceral and coffee in the dining area during bfast hours...that was at 8:00 a.m. on a Sat morning.
