"We stayed the week for my wife's business trip to the Bayfield area. There is a lot of positive things about this place. Our unit had frontage on the main road coming into town, but it was still quiet. It is an older facility, but has been kept up or has been restored as a labor of love. It was a very clean room. The bed was quite comfortable, and the two chairs by the window were also surprisingly comfortable (I had my doubts when I first saw them.) Being up on the road at the crest of the bluff, there was a very nice view over the lake toward the island, and the unit had a decent-sized deck that would have been very nice for sitting outside if it was just a little later in the spring. One very striking feature of the unit was the retro appliances -- a small refrigerator and a microwave. The decor was simple, and I really liked the blinds. They operated very well and kept the sun out when closed. The people who own/run it were very nice and helpful. The downsides were there was no dresser or closet, no desk (just a small table), and just the bathroom sink. It was a fairly small unit and didn't have room for anything else in it. Since I was on vacation and my wife was working, I had the room to myself during the day, and it would have been nice to have a bit more room to set up my computer and work with an auxilliary kepboard, but I made do well enough. If it was warmer weather I would have been either outside more, sitting on the deck, taking a boat tour, or taking the ferry"

"Our stay here was awesome! We stayed here for our anniversary week and got to enjoy the 5 minute ride to Bayfield and the surrounding cities with this convenient location. This place was perfect for what we needed! This place was also a lot bigger than the pictures look. 10/10 and would return when we come back!"

"Quiet and secluded, conveniently close to downtown Bayfield. Very nicely stocked condo including a pair of mountain bikes, luxurious bathroom towels, large kitchen area with nice appliances, utensils, bowls, , plates, glasses, etc. Nice and quiet electric heat with many separate thermostats worked very well."

"Cute and clean cabin. Fully loaded to cook and hangout. Very close to town too. Only negative is the master bedroom bed was very firm - almost like sleeping on the ground. Otherwise, a great cabin!"

"This is the 3 rd time we have stayed at Brookside. It is clean, quiet and the bed is so comfy. In the pines is beautiful. Also, I am a dog lover. I have an English Cocker. He is well behaved. The fact that we could have my boy along was a “ huge” factor."

"I don't believe that there's a kitchen available. They do have in-room coffee maker, coffee, electric tea kettle and tea bags. There's also a small fridge and microwave."

"Winter visit. Location is excellent- walking distance to town grocery, bar/ restaurant/ coffee shops and Joni's beach. About 1/2 mile hike to golf course or Casper Trail to snowshoe. About 3/4 mile to ice road vans. Plenty of blankets, towels, kitchen dishes, coffee pot, electric water kettle, dishwasher tabs, dish soap etc.Good communication from Connie. We had an issue connecting to the Dish TV. Connie helped resolve. Although the Dish TV signal was spotty all week. Picture would freeze or signal would get lost. We reported the bathroom sink dripped constantly & that there was a high pitch noise whenever shower was used. Coleen said they were in process of fixing. Perhaps the shower noise contributed to the hot water not lasting long. There was also a strong smell and taste from all water sources. You had to run the water several minutes until smell & taste disappeared. Microwave had a broken handle so must open delicately.Furniture in living room is worn & faded. The arms in chairs were dirty from use. Ottoman/ foot stool had a piece of fabric stapled over it. Furniture could use an upholstery deep cleaning or replacement. Balcony was excellent for views and space. Have stayed at other units in this building & this unit is quite worn in comparison. Functional, great location but could use some maintenance/refresh."
