A bit of a walk from Bari Centrale but overall good!

Excellent hotel. Except the restaurant at dinner, the manager ...well we didn't have dinner. But the hotel is beautiful and the rest of the staff, specially all the ladies at reception were wonderful attentive hosts. Location is perfect with the sea right in front of you and you can walk to downtown.

I lived at this hotel with my family for 8 nights. I travel a lot and already have plenty of experience with hotels, and, as many people have written, this hotel seems to have stopped developing many years ago. If you are traveling with your family and want to stay there for a few days, it is a disaster. This hotel should not have 4 stars — 2 stars at most. The standard it offers is far below what you would expect. The breakfasts served are a complete disappointment. There are no fresh vegetables, and very often guests had to complain to the staff because there were no cold cuts or bread. For guests who wanted to have tea or coffee from the machine, there were plastic or disposable cups available — in a 4-star hotel??? The collection of dishes and removal of leftover food is done right at the tables. A staff member bangs the plates against a cart and throws the leftover food into a bag next to your table. It is absolutely awful. In a normal hotel, this is done in the back, not in the dining area in front of the guests. And finally, if you haven’t finished eating by 10:00, a young employee locks the doors, turns off the lights, and signals that you have to leave the dining room. This is extremely rude and completely unacceptable. I have never encountered this kind of behavior before, and I travel a lot. The only positives are the parking and the friendly ladies who cleaned the rooms.

the first thing that stuck us was how out of town this type of accommodation is. That applies to all Masseria hotels. The rooms are situated around a pretty courtyard. The rooms are basic and of reasonable size. There are no facilities for making tea/coffee. However, there is a fridge. A small sitting area is outside each room. There is no bar here and the restaurant does not open till 8 pm. the reception can provide wine or coffee. We bought our own beer and kept in in fridge in room. The staff in the restaurant were not great on understanding or speaking English. There is a huge pool, but everyone is required to wear a swimming hat. We did not go in:(
