My stay was ok, it was reasonably priced, offered ensuite facilities and the beds were comfy. However, the pictures on the website are not representative, especially the communal areas. We initially didn't have a fridge even though the facilities listed one for the room, however, this was quickly sorted by the hotel staff who delivered a mini fridge to our room. The main light flickered and the plug sockets were loose, so often had to climb behind the bunk bed to fix them. Lastly, we were woken by housekeeping hoovering at 8am, one of the mornings during our stay.

Although the surrounding area was dirty, filled with addicted homeless, the building felt safe. Room was small and bare minimum. Overall I was uncomfortable but better than sleeping on the streets.

Sonder was the perfect stay for a girls trip! It was so convenient to check in using my phone as well as the keyless entry with the Sonder app. The rooms are small and ours had no natural light but that really wasn’t a big deal to us because we didn’t spend much time in the room! We were warned by multiple Uber drivers not to walk around at night and we did experience an unhoused person offering us drugs right outside of the building, but I just think that’s going to be an issue with any hotel in this area of San Francisco. Overall we loved the city and the stay was great!

It's a really nice place to stay if you're traveling solo or as a pair. The accommodations were good and you can do your laundry if you need to. I will say, if you want to stay away from the homeless people, it might not be the place for you since the surrounding area is filled with them.
