"We had a magical visit. The grounds of the property are STUNNING with beautiful gardens, paths, and ancient olive trees. The staff were very friendly and helpful with great local recommendations. "We really loved our stay here - not sure why the reviews are so bad. The farmhouse has been renovated and is gorgeous - you have a bedroom with another bed on a mezzanine for the kids. The rooms are clean and have aircon (thank goodness... it was 35 degrees :-)) There's parking right in front of your room and a big pool and pool area to use - if I understand correctly there is a small charge to use the pool but we were out every day until late so it didnt apply. The service in the restaurant...

However, at check-in we had to pay over €150 extra for a club membership, which we didn't know what it was for. Included in the all inclusive package was the food, which was more or less the same every day and only water and wine from a tap to drink. We drank from plastic glasses. Every other drink, such as cola, had to be paid for separately with a card at 3.50 per can. I have never experienced...

"This is a beautiful & amazing property in Matera! The staff and owner are very warm and attnetive to the guest. They have a great breakfast evryone with traditional foods. Hotel is centrally located , you can walk to restaurants, bar, shops, cathedral and take a hike to the famous caves. We fell in love with this property & the people... will definitely be back!"

Beautiful views

"Hotel was great. Amazing views and the staff was excellent. We had a car and they sent lots of communication about how to reserve a spot in a nearby parking garage with a shuttle to the hotel. Lived the cave room and being in the heart of the historic area. "

An incredible experience!

"We had trouble finding the parking garage! One phone call and Jennifer got us there step by step. Very helpful to say the least. We were given a warm greeting upon arrival. The staff were all friendly and pleasant to talk with. Our room was very clean and inviting. There were beautiful candles lit in the bedroom and bathroom. A table was set up with fresh fruit and a pitcher of water. Elegant napkins and tableware were provided. Our two day stay was really wonderful."
