「The property is 400 yrs old so expect things to be uneven. The current owners have only been there a few years so maybe they still have work to do. The bedrooms are described on the website as "stylish "....I would say plain. The bedding was clean, bathroom ok but it was difficult to get the shower to the right temperature...it was either boiling or cold. Room 5 had a frosted window but it was hot so we had it open. The room could do with a slight update....e.g. more plug sockets and a bigger...

「Lovely property -- a lot of stais to get to rooms, but a very nice location」

「My shower leaked so bathroom floor was wet all the time. There was mould in the shower .no Fridge. There was litter left in one corner of the room . Breakfast was pretty underwhelming but well staffed and managed. The bed was awful , lumpy and uncomfortable. Ill not be staying here again . It was cheap and I know why. 「Just got home after a lovely stay at Rowton Castle. The staff were amazing could not do enough for you. Food was good and excellently presented. The grounds were amazingly kept. First visit but definitely not the last.」

「Efficient and friendly staff, clean rooms with all the facilities you need. Evening meal and service was excellent couldn’t fault my stay would definitely recommend.」

「I love old fashioned, traditional pubs & inns, and this was perfect. Wooden beams, creaky floors, etc. The staff were wonderful and very helpful. The meals were of high quality & decently priced, too, the breakfast exceptional! Plenty of parking available. I will definitely visit there again.」
