"There is a clear difference in personal interactions with Montrose employees and any highline hotel. Let me be clear: Everyone is helpful and courteous. But that subtle difference that makes a place truly shine is missing. An example is in the verbiage used to answer the phone, check someone in and address issues. "Its my pleasure, thank you" "Oh I apologize about that but it will be handled immediately" "would you mind holding for just a moment and I will check right now" (instead of "O
ne minute" and a click as I am put on hold.
The little things make a BIG difference. Just some training...along with a team who understands and enjoy displaying example after examply, daily, of great service.
Again, Montrose is better than 90% of hotels. Another ladder rung up would be the attention to detail and utmost courtesy in

"The first night I didn’t love the room as it faced the wall but the staff moved me the following 2 nights to the pool side and it was 100 percent better . They were very nice at the desk from check in to check out . Clean pool and I loved the Italian resort feel to it . Very convenient location . Walked to many places . Also convenient walk to my daughter’s apartment.
Beds were comfortable and WIFI was good and fast . I’d love to stay again when I come back and visit my daughter "
"The hotel is generally good but in need of a little makeover. The staff are attentive generally. The rooms are a decent standard and quiet and the beds comfortable. Overall a good location next to all of the main Hollywood attractions. Finally the pool was decent and by and large most acted sensibly but there’s always one-boom box and drinks outside clashing with the hotels own music. If you’re 45, you’ve got a room so we did hope he would grind elsewhere and he finally did. Overall a good stay"
