「This house/cabin was absolutely fabulous! Everything was squeaky clean and the solar energy through the windows was wonderful. The in floor heating and energy efficiency made the cool outside tolerable. The view of the Fall foliage and surrounding gardens were heavenly. The hosts were very responsive to our requests and encouraged us to self tour the farm: healthy goats, chickens, pigs and cows; even an on-site store to purchase fresh meat, vegetables and other delectable. I would highly...

「Generally fine. Couldn’t use fireplace and had to replace grate on grill and go buy charcoal, but it was easy to do. The cabin itself was comfortable, well-supplied, and very charming. The outside area was amazingly beautiful and creatively laid out. Our small family get together was a wonderful experience fostered by this space — dining outside as evening fell, with the music of the nearby brook, followed by gathering around the glowing fire in the large fire pit. Overall a special experience.」

「This place was exactly as described! Host was wonderful to work with!! She left little "extras" like firewood and starter, makings for S'mores, welcome basket with yummy maple syrup and Cabot popcorn, and Starbucks coffee!! The place was immaculate, and had everything we needed, including spices, to grill and cook meals! The firepit in the evening was perfect for cool nights. Communication was excellent all the way through the stay. I really can't say enough about this place and this host. ...

「We spent the night in Mad River Valley at the 1830 House for a weekend event. The house was clean and cosy and it accommodated all of us. The Wifi worked well and we loved the privacy each of us had in our own rooms. We also appreciated the kitchen (there are two, if you book the whole house - one up and one down!). It was close to our venue, the Mad River Barn, too. The only downside (minor) was the steep stairwell to the second floor. There was no railing to guide guests. My 84-year-old mom...
