We were a group of 4 40-50 year old women on a weekend get away.
Positives: Hotel in great location in the heart of the city. In walking distance from the train station, shops, bars and restaurants.
Our room was a good size, very clean and the beds were comfortable. Nice toiletries supplied.
Negatives: Issue initially with room allocation as we had 2 rooms on different floors (this was resolved).
1 room had a wet room bathroom which didn’t drain properly so we were left with standing water.
The pool was cold and some of the spa jets were not working. We had to bring our towels from the room to use as they had run out.
Don’t rely on booking the bar area on the website - We were told by staff that they didn’t get to see the bookings so there was no table reserved for us!
Overall: great hotel for location, wouldn’t recommend if you’re wanting to relax in the pool area.

The hotel was Beautiful, The Christmas theme was just Fab 🎄🎅.Bedroom lovely and clean and very Spacious too .Breakfast was lovely too .Would stay again and recommend this hotel 😍

Lovely apartment in a great location.
Right next to the Palace. Located at the opposite end of the royal mile to Edinburgh castle, and not far from all tourist sites and restaurants. It's all uphill from the apartment, but a lovely downhill walk on the way back. 😁
Apartment was lovely and clean, plenty of room for us and a super handy bed/sofa that was easy to use each day.
Only issue was we were never sent the door code for entry to the apartment. No-one seemed to reply on the info@abbeystrandapartments.com email address.
Called twice and was told something about the company being bought out. Super helpful lady on the phone who then sent us the door code. That came from reception@oldtownchambers.com email address.
Who knows who's running it.
Great weekend break in a great apartment. Admin was rubbish though.
As always, saved by the lovely friendly staff on the phone.

Quiet, clean. Twin room so had 2 large beds per person. Very spacious room. Used the pool and sauna which was nice and included in our stay. Location is great. Staff helpful.
