"The property is excellent with a fabulous host! The property is very clean and easy to find. In a good area of the Cotswolds close to Painswick village and access routes to the motorway and Stroud Breakfast, tea coffee etc provided. Toiletries available. Good communication with host. Would definitely stay there again without hesitation. "

"We met up here with old friends. We were very pleased with an en-suite for every couple. High quality facilities for kitchen, bathroom and comfortable living areas. Proprietors easily accessible and quick to help. They made us feel very welcome and even showed us their new calves. Beautiful surrounding countryside. One very small disadvantage is no garden. There is pleasant outside area with a barbecue but it has a roof ."

"The hotel is a bit dated in the rooms. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was always good and plentiful. Cleaning was poor, never vacuumed in five days, tables were left dirty, sheets never changed. Also there was mold on the window sills and my allergies acted up. A bit pricey for this level of room."

"We booked this accommodation while walking the Cotswold Way. Downstairs space was good and we were able to combine a couple of tables to sit 8 of us together. Upstairs all rooms had views out the back. A little more furniture in the main bedroom would be good. We had a couple of issues but these were responded to and satisfactorily resolved within a couple of days."

"We stayed at this property through Stay Cotswolds and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. On arrival, one of the bedrooms had a large number of flies on the floor, making it unusable. We reported this immediately and shared video evidence. While the property manager was polite and apologetic, no effective solution was provided during our stay. As a result, we were unable to use the bedroom as intended and had to sleep on a mattress on the floor. This significantly impacted our stay and meant we could not properly use the property we had paid for. What was particularly frustrating was the handling of the complaint afterwards. It was suggested that we did not communicate during our stay or allow access, which is not accurate and a complete fabrication. We were in contact every single day and were cooperative throughout which we provided further evidence of. Be aware that StayCotswolds will take no responsibility as the contract is with you and the owner of the property. Overall, the property did not meet a reasonable standard, and the way the issue was handled did not reflect the experience we had."

"We rented Locks Cottage and it exceeded all our expectations. The house itself was absolutely beautiful – full of character, very well maintained, and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The views were stunning and truly captured the charm of the Cotswolds countryside, making it a joy to wake up each morning and simply take in the surroundings. The cottage felt peaceful and welcoming, the perfect place to relax and slow down, whether enjoying breakfast with a view or spending quiet evenings indoors. We had a brilliant time from start to finish and felt at home straight away. It was one of those stays that you wish could last longer. We would highly recommend this cottage and would happily return in the future."
