I visit Gloucester fairly regularly with work and will stay here 9 out of 10 trips. Its 5 minutes drive away from the center on Gloucester. It has plenty of amenities within 5 minutes walk and the canal is only a 10 minute walk away. The place itself has a nice feel to it, good food and clean rooms, ample parking. It ticks a lot of boxes

This hotel is a historic building that is showing a few signs of age on the outside. There are the inevitable multiple changes in floor level through the building. We had a small ground floor room so avoided the steep stairs. The shower was very small. The room was quiet, looking out onto the carpark. Parking was free. Check in and out was automated so there was little contact with hotel staff other than in the restaurant. Breakfast and dinner were good. The hotel is best for guests with a car as it is some distance from the centre of Gloucester.

The staff were super. Very accommodating with an early check in request and helpful friendly bar service. The pub itself looked lovely. Very cosy though we only visited fleetingly Our room was very comfortable, with everything needed for a short stay. The bed was comfy and the room clean and warm. Thank you.
