We arrived there after a 5 hr drive to find it closed, actually more like abandoned. There was no one working there much less staying there. Luckily we found a beautiful place down the beach. Very disheartening that Expedia would take bookings for a place that’s not even open. Worst of it is that even after we notified Expedia you can still book it !!

Beautifully placed resort off the beaten track

This resort is situated off the beaten track. It was just what we were looking for. The manager was friendly and did every to make our stay there enjoyable. Like any guest house or resort if you go when there are fewer guests please remember to order your food for the evening at breakfast before the chef goes to market.

Remote and beautiful beach

The location is beautiful and the staff try their best to assist. It has a certain charm. However... It’s an old resort which is not maintained or managed what so ever. There’s rubbish spilling out of the main building and behind the cottages, the kitchen is a little frightening. The grounds and pool are not well maintained. The staff are kind and well meaning but it’s not professionally run. The food in all near by resorts are very expensive and rather average.

Hvis man er til at bo langt ude for alt er dette hotel fint. Havde booket for 10 dage men forlod det efter 5. Dejlig ren pool, lækker strand med palmer. Mad lille udvalg og dårligt. Rengøring i hytten blev ikke udført mens vi var der. Personale prøvede at gøre det godt, så intet til ledelsen. Bilen vi blev hentet i lufthavnen var gammel og slidt. Men er man til bølge skvulp og ro så er dette stedet, der sker intet.

Overpriced, incompetent, disorganised and unkempt

We were double booked and the manager blamed Venere, whereas we had a confirmation email from them. False promises made about when the sea view room we had booked would be available, we didn't get it for 2 nights then had to surrender it after 6 nights. We negotiated a refund and left. Rooms quite clean and large but unless you had a luxury room there is no furniture other than a wardrobe. Buffet served too late for us at 8pm and expensive possibly because there is nowhere else locally to eat. Isolated location with empty beaches with lovely sand but quite rough seas. Flies all over breakfast buffet. Staff sitting around doing nothing when there was rubbish to be cleared. No cushions on hard wooden sunbeds. No proper checkin or details given of facilities and services offered. No bread on our first day, no chicken either, then on second day no milk. The only drinks served are beer, Sprite and Coke but they will obtain other drinks if you ask. Scabby dog with sores surrounded by flies living in the reception area.

Paradies mit kleinen Schwächen

Wir waren vom 25.12-08.01 im Beach Resort.Es ist ideal wenn man wirklich mal ein paar Tage in Ruhe entspannen will.Am Kilometer langen Strand kann man ewig spazieren gehen.Teilweise trifft man außer ein paar Vögeln und den Affen in den Palmen niemanden.Es ist was für Menschen die die Natur und Einsamkeit zu schätzen wissen.Abgerundet wird das ganze von der zum Glück sehr guten Küche im Resort,denn es gibt in der näheren Umgebung nicht viel Alternativen um zum Essen gehen.Bei unseren Aufenthalt schien alles noch im Aufbau zu sein,es wurde noch einiges an den anderen Bungalows Renoviert,was auch mit ein wenig Lärm verbunden war.Das ganze Team ist sehr bemüht die Wünsche der Gäste zu erfüllen,wenn irgendwas nicht in Ordnung war wurde es umgehend geändert. Sehr nett ist es auch,wenn am Abend ein Teil des Personals Livemusik spielt.

Traumhaftes Hotel mit Kitschfaktor :)

Der Aufenthalt im Darwins Beach Resort war ein voller Erfolg. Wir haben jeden Tag sehr genossen, Die Nähe zum Strand, das freundliche und hilfsbereite Personal und das gesamte Ambiente haben unseren Urlaub zu einem unvergesslichen Erlebnis werden lassen. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen.
