"lots of room inside and outside. Plenty of space for a large family. Very unique design. My only complaint is one bathroom had a moldy shower curtain and one bathroom had some strange dried fauna on the floor in front of the shower, Both of these should have been noticed by the cleaning crew.I would highly recommend this home."

"We loved the house! It was perfect for us! Our kids love nature, so having access to the community pond was very fun for them. This is shared by all the homes around the area. There are many turtles, bass, and bluegill in the pond. They are used to being fed bread and will follow you along the shore. There is a shared paddle boat, which the kids also had fun with. Swimming is allowed but the area is a little weedy. The beds were not the most comfortable, but were fine for the trip. We loved the hot tub! We did not use the firepit, but it was very nice! The air conditioning is SUPER cold, so if you run hot in the summer, you will love it. The home is about 1 hour to Traverse City or the bridge, so a great location to see several sites in Northern MI from a central home base. I was so appreciative that they allowed our dog. He also had a blast! HIGHLY recommend! :)"

"Stayed for a quick getaway and this place was perfect! It was clean and cozy with all the necessities. The lake was beautiful and there is just enough close things to do that makes the up north experience rememberable! Paul is a top noth host with some excellent recommendations for dining too. Will definitely book again for a longer stay!"
Sliver of Paradise: Lakefront Cottage-5 Min to Sturgeon River.

"Very clean, small lakefront house. Plenty of linens, towels, and kitchen necessities. We had a great time visiting family and entertaining on the deck with s’mores over the fire pit. The first few days were extra warm and the small portable a/c had a hard time keeping us cool. The temps dropped to the mid to high 70’s the rest of the week and we opened the windows to enjoy the cooler weather. We would love to return for our next trip in July 2027 but worry it may be too warm for our comfort with the small a/c unit. Other than that, We highly recommend 10/10 "

"If you like nature, peace, quiet, privacy, evening bon-fires, waking up to the sound of a babbling brook and plenty of bedrooms for everyone then Gus’s Stump is for you. It’s located near Boyne City and Petosky which means lots of options for good food and fun. Great host with timely communication."

"The cabin was great! Cozy and nice, with very comfortable beds. It was a great place to stay while enjoying northern Michigan. Paul was a good communicator and made everything easy. We will be back!!"
