The staf does not speak english. Called the front desk few times no one picked up. Went to the main loby asked for water in the room no one cared to tend to my requests i had to talk to the manager a day after for them to actually comply. Very lovely grounds, beautiful beach, excellent service, adults only pool with bar,varied and delectable dining options.Sarahjane became so highly horned with those features and the in-room jacuzzi that she required frequent room servicing.... Stay was everything we could ask for and more. Also noteworthy were the positive and cheerful attitudes of the staff, something that was decidedly lacking on other islands. The lunch buffet at Hispaniola was my favorite, large seafood and local fish/veggie selection along with,curiously, Spanish style cured meats

The staff is the reason we stay here. Our Butler Doral was attentive and so friendly The bartender at the Adult Club beach bar was wonderful, but we forgot to get his name. Housekeeping was great

The resort is beautiful and the restaurant and bar staff are friendly. We did have some issues when we requested assistance. We were missing items in the room and it days for them to be brought to the room. We asked for a late check out and they were not willing to accommodate this request.

We had a great stay from start to finish. The beach, pool, food, and room were all fabulous for a very reasonable price over the holiday season. We were happy with all the amenities provided and really enjoyed the little “VIP” lounge area to grab a little bite and drink or coffee. The staff are what really made our time at the Majestic Colonial extraordinary. From Bladimil our butler, all the waitstaff and bartenders, housekeeping, grounds crew, front desk…seriously every member of the Majestic team that we encountered during our stay were pleasant, efficient, and welcoming. It seems as though the property is planning a pretty large renovation and will be closed in the future for a period of time. And although I agree there were areas of the resort that needed some updating and minor improvements……the overwhelming reason we would return was because of the true hospitality we felt during our stay. Please make sure to keep this the core of your resort. It is what makes people feel like they are at a “home away from home”!! Thank you!

The beach is amazing. The pools are well maintained and cleaned every morning. There were a variety of dining options and all were very good. Entertainment and activities were exceptional. The grounds are beautiful as well. Our butler Edwin was extremely helpful in making sure we had a stress free vacation. He got us situated and checked in with us everyday. There are bars all over the property and a club available for snacks and drinks. I would recommend this property or one of the sister hotels adjoining.

While the property itself is beautiful, the rooms on the family side felt VERY outdated. The floors were noticeably dirty, which made me extremely uncomfortable allowing my toddler to crawl or play on the floor. I was honestly surprised by the overall experience, especially since we chose this resort based on the many glowing reviews about service and food. Unfortunately, neither lived up to expectations. Interactions with staff often felt strained, and even very simple requests seemed like an inconvenience. Something as basic as getting a highchair at the buffet or receiving clean towels required repeated follow-ups and, at times, tracking someone down to ask again. Check-in was also unnecessarily long and frustrating. After a full travel day, all we wanted to do was drop our bags and feed our toddler, but the process took over 35 minutes. To make matters worse, when we finally arrived at our room, our key cards hadn’t been activated. We’re a very easy-going family and didn’t have high expectations, our goal was simply to swim, enjoy decent food, and relax. Instead, the experience felt far more frustrating than it needed to be, which was disappointing given the reputation of the resort.

The food was not very good, ok at best. The drinks were the same. The meal for new years eve was the same nothing special here. Majority of servers there did not want to work it seemed and slot had an attitude. The positive the ac worked and the beach was very nice

We did have an issue with Christmas Eve dinner reservations. We did not know they were needed until I saw it posted in Facebook. Made a note on Facebook and received a call from Guest Services. Went there spoke to a representative who then got the assistant manager. Her name was Ines. She listened to my concerns as why we were not told during the check in process that certain restaurants were closed on Christmas Eve and that reservations were needed. I told her it was our anniversary and we wanted to go to the steak house but it was closed. We decided to go to the buffet after speaking to people who we met there. They have been to the resort for 5 years at the same time and stated the buffet was excellent. They were right. Ines was there when we went to dinner. She wished us a Happy Anniversary and took off. When we go back to our room she had it decorated with balloons, a heart of rose petals on the bed and Mylar balloons saying Happy Anniversary. She went above and beyond to make our night special. She also called the next day to make sure everything was ok. We truly appreciated what she did for us Thank you Ines for all you did. This is our 2nd time at Majestic and we will be back next Christmas. Everyone from the staff was so friendly and always remembered us when we came in the restaurants or buffet. They remembered what we drank etc. We had a fantastic time

The resort itself was very good. The beach was great. The food was hit or miss, with some really good meals and a couple that we didn't care for. The pool is very shallow but was surprisingly never crowded. Most of the facilities were very good but the room itself was a little outdated and needed renovation.

Des rénovations sont prévues. Heureusement. L’état des chambres est terrible Fuites d’eau, les salles de bains sont désuètes crochets arrachés, support à papier inexistants En général le personnel est blasé et a l’air fâché en permanence. Repas du 31 décembre infecté. Sur un groupe de 9 personnes 8 ont été malades Par contre le Buffet est super. En général déçue. Dommage c’est au notre 4e visite à cet hôtel.

The staff was extremely friendly and provided excellent customer service, always willing to assist and keeping us informed about resort activities. Our room was very clean; although a bit dated, cleanliness was never an issue. The food overall was very good, especially the buffet, which offered a great variety of options with excellent presentation. The buffet was consistently the best dining choice. We also had an excellent hibachi dinner experience at Ma Suri—great food, entertaining chefs, and very good service. Unfortunately, the à la carte restaurants did not meet the same standard. Service was inconsistent, and food quality was disappointing. Our Christmas Eve dinner at the French restaurant, Le Gourmet, was below expectations. While the presentation was nice, the food itself was not good, and one of the five entrées we ordered ran out without notice, showing a lack of staff communication. At the steakhouse, Rodeo Grill, service was slow, taking over an hour, and the steaks were overcooked and cold. Overall, we had an amazing experience. Customer service, cleanliness, activities, and airport transportation were excellent. The only downside was that tipping felt somewhat expected, and service noticeably improved afterward, which came across as a bit pushy. Our concierge, mayordomo Wilimier, was incredible and truly enhanced our stay.

Friendly staff - not one member was surly or neutral- all interactions felt courteous and positive, and there was a genuine smile. Staff also resolved issues quickly- like a broken crib, adjusting cleaning time to accommodate children’s naps. The resort was great- met our needs as a mixed age group- babies, 30’s and 60 year olds - and it didn’t feel crowded. Creative entertainment- loved the silent disco! Hibachi restaurant was best food and setting. Food was ok generally- it’s a big en masse production, but a lot of variety. A very positive experience of an all inclusive holiday resort. Fireworks were great on New Years Eve.

Un vrai hôtel All Inclusive, pas de mauvaise surprise avec des choses non inclus donc super. L’hôtel est très beau, la nourriture est très correcte. La plage est très belle et plutôt propre. L’offre proposée au bar est très variée. Petit bémol sur le personnel qui n’est pas toujours très agréable (mais ce n’est pas une généralité, certains membres du staff sont très sympathiques!).

Nous rentrons d'un sejour de 8 jours au Majestic Colonial en famille. C'etait notre 3eme sejour à Punta Cana mais le premier dans un hotel Majestic. Le site est tres beau et les chambres spacieuses et confortables. Nous avions deux suites junior avec vue ocean dont 1 qui donnait directement sur la plage en 1ere ligne. Un vrai régal. Nous avons fait deux rencontres extraordinaires au sein du personnel : Marino, barman hors pair au Piano Bar et Madelin, l'hotesse qui a illumine notre sejour de son sourire et de sa bienveillance. Nous avons egalement fait des excursions avec Pascal d'Authentica Rep Dom qui nous a fait decouvrir la vraie republique dominicaine loin des afflux touristiques. Nous recommandons +++. S'il y avait un bemol, je dirai la qualité des spectacles du soir, un cran en dessous de ce que nous avions connu ailleurs. Je recommande en tout cas ce sejour et la qualite des echanges avec expedia.
