I don't know whether you would call this a stile or a cattle grid, either way it performs the same function, it keeps large farm animals in the field while letting people through. The metal pole across the top is a more recent addition and probably serves to bar the way to two wheeled vehicles. Not a stile but a cattle grid; stiles are for going up and then down

"Clean,spacious room with an amazing view of the harbour and estuary.Friendly and efficient service at the reception and the two requests made were dealt with as requested. Only had breakfast in the hotel and that was of good quality although a bit disappointed that there was not a more plentiful supply of fruit-just a small portion which you could only have if you did not choose another option such as granola. Other than that,really enjoyed our stay."
