The Neighborhood:
Kerns is Portland’s rising star. Featured by TimeOut as the Coolest Neighborhood in the U.S., it’s where creative energy meets convenience. The neighborhood is home to some of the city’s best food, like Screen Door, Canard and Slow Haste coffee, plus cozy coffee shops, bakeries, taprooms, and Whole Foods nearby.
Tree-lined streets make it ideal for walking, and nearby cultural venues like Revolution Hall and Laurelhurst Theater offer classic Portland experiences. Whether you’re here for a weekend getaway, a family trip, or a work retreat, this location puts you at the center of it all.
Getting Around:
🚶 Walking — You're in Portland's Kerns neighborhood, with the NE 28th Avenue restaurant row plus nearby cafes, shops, and Whole Foods.
🚌 Bus — Several TriMet lines run on nearby streets, including Line 19 (Glisan) and Line 20 (Burnside/Stark), with service to downtown Portland. Check trimet.org for the best route.
🚲 Biking — BIKETOWN bike-share stations in the area. Portland's bike lanes make cycling a great option for exploring nearby neighborhoods.
🚗 Driving — Free side-street parking is subject to posted signs and open spaces; do not use the restricted front spaces Monday–Friday, 7 AM–6 PM. Rideshare (Uber/Lyft) pickup times vary.
✈️ Airport — PDX is reachable by car; allow for traffic.
Other Things to Note:
These townhouses share walls and the property is nestled near a freeway - neighbor, hallway, street and freeway noises can be audible, and sound may carry between floors.
There is no elevator. The kitchen, living room, full bathrooms, laundry and upper bedrooms require interior stairs. Upper-floor cooling comes from hallway mini-splits; closed bedroom doors can reduce airflow. The kitchen windows do not have curtains or blinds. A travel crib may be arranged by advance request at least 48 hours before check-in, subject to availability.
⏰ Quiet Hours
10 PM - 7 AM (house rules)
🚭 No Smoking or Vaping
Smoking and vaping are not allowed anywhere on the property, indoors or outdoors. Guests who wish to smoke or vape must leave the property completely.
