Very comfortable, quiet, and convenient to all that we were doing. Nice conveniences on the ground floor of the hotel. Located at a truck stop but definitely did not have a truck stop feel once inside. Very good cooked breakfast included, and we even had a nice dinner there in the evening.

I had never been to this property since the remodel. Had stayed at other properties nearby and never felt the equipment in vehicles was safe. Stayed for two nights at the Portlander and could not have been happier nor felt safer. Everything was clean and orderly, the staff was tremendous in all ways. It was nice just to feel comfortable. This is not a five star property. This is a truck stop location in North Portland and the area does have the homeless camps in the area. But from being greeted at the front desk to the restaurant and sandwich shop to the amenities they have it was ideal for the average person. I have stayed in 5 stars at airport that were way less than the Portlandier. Will gladly go back again.

Don't be fooled by "this is a truckstop". It is a wonderfully run, clean and very safe hotel. their free breakfast is HUGE with lots of options and great servie, their bar has a fantastic happy hour and the rooms are squeaky clean with gread beds and linens. Incredible value for the price. Were worried a bit about vehicle security (this is Portland, so...) but they have security. Their shuttle driver was great and they even saved us an Uber ride by taking us to a concert nearby. Wish more places were like this.

We wished we could have stayed longer. The staff was so kind and helpful. Loved the spa tub in our room, the lounge, the food, the market, and the movie theater. It was a unique hotel stay and we will definitely be back.

I was a little concerned when arriving in the area where the hotel was located; however the hotel was very clean, staff was extremely courteous and helpful and the restaurant had delicious food. The fact that here was a little market inside the hotel was a bonus. We would definitely stay at the Portlander again.
