"Free parking, so big that local vintage car club used it as meeting point. Enjoyed the duck for dinner and cooked breakfast in the morning. Room was bigger than expected, clean and quiet. Some parts looked like they needed redecorating but it is an old coaching inn. Only ten minutes from Dyrham Park."

"Friendly and helpful staff. Good food in the pub/restaurant on site. The breakfast area is separate from the pub area, which we thought was a nice touch. Room was a good size (it was the Stratton Suite). Water was great pressure in the shower. Just one small thing. The door at the top of the stairs needs some WD40!"

"Great service and solid pub food. The bed was ok, the room clean, but there was a large unsightly rust stain alongside the shower screen on the bath. That isn’t great and detracts from what was otherwise a nice room. Overall great value and a decent location. "

"The staff were amazing! Really friendly, done everything they could to make sure you had what you wanted or needed when it came to breakfast or dinner times when dining. Only small issue was how noisy it was from the town side in the mornings with cars etc driving up and down with deliveries as we had a room right at the front of the building, would had been happier with a room at the back with less noise unless the windows could be redone to reduce sound"
