"Best shower I've every had in a hotel (strong pressure on the 5th floor), which is the 2nd most important feature to me in hotels, with the mattress coming 1st, and this one was perfect too. Great night sleep. No light coming through the door from the corridor, which is also very important. Dark room at night. Nice little touch with the free water and biscuits every day. The only think that let the room down is the floor which wasn't clean. There were marks coming from either dirty shoes or dark liquid spill on several places on the floor which means that I couldn't walk barefoot. Same as for once, there was no carpet, which I hate. But apart from that, great stay. Nice satff at the restaurant too, and nice food."

"Very good value. Very approachable and helpful staff. Resourceful and thoughtful furnishing of a small room with several things many more expensive hotels lack or are too often forgotten e.g. adequate wardrobe, places to hang bath AND hand towels (many properties seem not to have thought this to be a bathroom necessity), a bath mat (yes, some places fail to provide one), easily-opening window for fresh air (as opposed to an ancient, rickety sash that is blocked from opening more than 2 inches). Unrestricted street parking right opposite - very useful for those of us with Blue Badges - though spaces might be filled if you come late. I will return."

"So start with the positives, staff on reception were genuinely welcoming and friendly. Towels and bedding were clean. However, hotel is run down, paint peeling from windows, images are nothing like on hotels.com, floors are uneven, bathroom poor condition, floor covered over in patch’s and rotten bath panel. Overall give it a miss."

"Average stay, and at £400 for 2 nights it was disappointing! I was surprised at earplugs being provided, but hearing a club(?) behind the hotel empty their glass bins at 1, 2, 3 and 4am both nights it became obvious why! Room was tiny and mattress dreadfully lumpy, but bathroom was pleasant and clean. Receptionist at check in was nice but wasn’t asked if I would like to include breakfast or use the amenities. When I checked out I left a bag, and when I came back to collect them I was shown into a room and told to “find mine” which felt very insecure, no verification of who I was at all! Overall, better choices in Brighton for the price point."

"Great hotel but the main reason why I reserved was because of the spa which was fully booked so we couldn’t use it. Also the garage was also full and equally we had to park elsewhere.."
