There are many hotels close to Milano Centrale, but I chose to stay at Hotel Berna and found its perks making it special. First, the front desk staff. They are mature hospitality professionals who do their utmost to assist. The two gentlemen in the evening were excellently & patiently dealing with other patrons while I observed them! The small alcove in the lobby with bottled water, snacks and tea sachets & hot water dispenser were really a treat! My room was small but very quiet which I needed. A minor issue: my safe was left open with the bolts out from a previous guest making it temporarily unusable (which a staff member helped to fix upon request). Also the housekeeping staff cleaned the bathroom but took away the liquid hand soap dispenser (which the same staff member replaced). Overall: great location for proximity to the train station, lovely neighborhood with many locals in small parks, some eateries nearby, a terrific gelato shop and the very long Corso Buenos Aires shopping street.

I had a wonderful stay! The staff were friendly and accommodating, creating a warm and welcoming environment. Many attractions were easily accessible on foot, and the overall atmosphere was fantastic. I highly recommend this place!

Beautiful hotel, Room was fairly spacious for Europe and the bathroom was well designed. Staff were gracious and kept us access our room earlier than check in time. Location can’t be beat right outside a tram and Metro stop.My only minor complain is that the weren’t very soft! I stayed in two other similar range hotels on this trip and this place needs to upgrade their linens! That being said, I would stay here again and recommend to friends going to Milan.
