"The rooms were very comfortable (best sleep we had on our trip to Costa Rica) and we loved the pool, the beach, the sunsets, and the star gazing at night. We were there with our family. It is a bit remote so good idea to bring games and snacks if traveling with kids. The restaurant on the premise is expensive but serves creative dishes by a Michelin star chef using local ingredients."

"The house was great! Everything you could need. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Front door sticks a bit and there are no inside stairs to the upper lever which we did not realize. But it was fine. Great for groups. The pool was the perfect size and very needed during dry season! Just a short walk to the beach. It was a cute town. Highly reccomend."

"If you love the heat, the beach, and a pool without the craziness and busy atmosphere and loud music this is your retreat! You can hear the ocean waves all night, the monkeys in the morning and evening and even new animal visitors that make an appearance. Baby Sea turtles released a few door down. Beautiful sunsets. Pretty much paradise!"

"Jason’s condo was just as described - clean, quiet and appeared to have been freshly painted. The beds were comfortable, linens & towels updated and there were plenty of beach accessories - chairs, noodles & boogie boards. Kitchen was well stocked and a great view from the upstairs patio. "

"Castillo de Coral was absolutely amazing! It exceeded our expectations! We loved everything about the house - from the new in-ground pool, to the spacious bedrooms with ocean views, to the gorgeous and spacious bathrooms, the ability to open all the doors by the kitchen to create and indoor-outdoor living space and to the direct access to the beach! We also appreciate that how responsive the host was. She host supplied the items we requested - including a salad spinner, corn hole (to play on the beach) and new lighters for the gas stove. We loved cooking in the spacious kitchen, and the fact that the kitchen had a huge pantry where we could store our dried goods, was great! We also loved the outdoor shower and the covered cabana on the beach! "

"We brought our kids and grandkids so there were 21 of us ages 5-74We absolutely loved everything. The house is designed so everyone has privacy if needed. There was plentiful dining areas a fabulous pool in the yard with gorgeous gardens We have made memories for a lifetime The Atchisons from Canada "

"The house is wonderful just as the photos portray it! We have stayed in many VRBO’s all over the world and this is definitely one of the cleanest. The master bedroom is upstairs but not connected to the kitchen and living room area which is nice because if you’re traveling with early risers they can cook, make coffee, etc. without those in the master suite being disturbed. The other two bedrooms are downstairs and are accessed via an outside set of stairs. I was nervous about the size of the pool because I couldn’t quite tell from the photos exactly how large it was but it fit the four adults in our party no problem. The house is right on the beach and I think on the busiest beach day there were 12 people total (which included the 4 of us) on it. The house offers remarkable sunsets from either the beach or rooftop! Location is an easy drive from LIR with many restaurants and small supermarkets in the area. Tamarindo is a 55 minute drive from the house and Santa Cruz a 45 minute drive. This area has no large super markets so a drive to Santa Cruz might be necessary if you’re looking to do a big shop. Highly recommended any one traveling to this part of Costa Rica to stay at Casa Alegre! "

"Make sure the air conditioners work. Label the keys, Air out the place before arrivals. Be more clear that the second bath only has a sink and toilet; the shower is separate. Provide standing fans as the kitchen fan doesn't work and one is needed by the dining table. There is no walking beach access as the gate was jammed shut, so we had to drive. This is a big difference from the advertisement."
