"We had a wonderful 4 night stay at Sticks & Stones while in the Black Mountain area to supervise a construction phase of our home in Laurel Ridge. The property was welcoming, clean, comfortable, well-equipped, and provided beautiful views and incredibly restful porches and great quality beds. The kitchen was perfect for our short-term needs and the only improvement on the whole stay that I would recommend would be upgrading the coffee pot to a newer model that doesn't continue to drip when you remove the caraffe, with a shut-off feature. Everything else was perfection! We loved evenings on the screened porch and the comfortable furniture for relaxing and taking in the views."

"Over all the description of the property was spot on. The cleaning staff needs some pointers. Perhaps they can take some time and clean the coffee pot, empty the lint from the dryer, and cob webs along the floor by the registers. We didnt use the hot tub or the grill, we didnt want to clean them to use them. There was a faint odor of propane near the large tank. Other wise we had a blast.Barnardsville really got demolished by those storms. I had no idea it was that widespread. "
"The house itself was fantastic for families and the amenities offered lots of entertainment for all ages.Be aware that a couple of the rooms are set up like a “pass through” bedroom, which is fine for families, but maybe not so much for friends staying together.With the high cleaning fee we would have appreciated a little more cleanliness, but the property managers were fantastic at communicating and offering to fix any issues immediately."
