"Booked the trip for my family of 5. We had a great time. The only negative thing I have to say is there is no signal out there unless you have Verizon. I didn't get the code beforehand as I normally just check my messages as I arrive, but there was no signal so I had to drive back towards town until I got a signal to call the host for the door code. Once inside the property, everything was good. If you have someone staying in the back room off the kitchen and it is cold, use the oil radiator provided otherwise it is very cold. Kitchen was well equipped, the only thing we missed was a toaster oven because we like to use those for buns, or cheese on toast, rather an actual toaster, which they did have. In all we had a good time. The property is about 25min drive to Asheville. We booked the property because the Vrbo app said the property was only 9miles from Mt. Mitchell, which was the whole reason we went, that is not correct, it was an hours drive. But that is not the host's fault, it was Vrbo's error. The host was great "

"Quaint, quiet, and comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, even though the stairs and uneven terrain was a bit challenging for our 60 selves (and me with a bum knee), I’d stay here again. The hot tub and an unexpected snow added to our delight (Floridians here). There was a bit of an incline to the driveway and we needed to make a number of three point turns to avoid backing out, but our extended cab Ford F150 managed it just fine. I loved that we were out in the country but within a 25 minute drive to Publix. The flowing waters of a nearby stream added to the ambiance."

"Gone downhill. Room wasn't even fully clean. Bed sheets were not changed. We stay here often but they just lost our business "

"The main issue that we had with this property was the cleanliness. Upon arrival, we were told that we would basically be nickel and dimed for a check-in/out as little as one hour costing 50. The irony here is that this was due to the cleaners having too tight of a schedule to clean…there was a large amount of dust on the ceiling fan. The water in the hot tub was murky causing a sticky feeling once we got out along with a gross odor. The grossest part being that the shower curtain had MOLD all over the bottom so much so that it stuck together — seems like a very obvious thing for a cleaner to notice with a simple to solution by making the owner aware. All the drawers were filled with random items so that we could not use them unless we were to unload everything in them. The remotes for the ceiling fans and lights did not work. When we asked the owner about it, they suggested using batteries in the house that were not accepted in the remotes. They also did not know how to tell us to turn the main light in the living room/kitchen area on. The property as a whole seemed like it was put together very sloppily when it came to the painting, the flooring, base boards, door frames, etc. The bed was also not very comfortable. Lastly, there were no outdoor lights by the door making it nearly impossible to see at night. This is the first bad review we have ever given. It’s a cute and charming property that is still “stay-able,” but there could be some major improvements made. "

"The kids loved the amenities, specifically the game room. The house is in an excellent condition and it has a lot of rooms. We felt like at home. "

"The stay at this residence was amazing. The host was overly accommodating. She actually made a special trip out on Saturday to check on me and make sure that i was comfortable settled in. I look forward to visiting this property and more property of you all in the near future."

"The location was remote and exactly what we were looking for. Ya know it’s remote when the location confuses GPS.The cabin was pet friendly with lots of area for the dogs to run. Our family loved spending the cold evenings fireside and waking up to the sounds of the water flowing nearby. It was the vacation we needed! Thank ya Amber!"
