「We had an excellent time at the Mikado. It was our first time to Costa Rica and it was probably one of our best holidays. Such a fun adventure. Lolo was an excellent host and if you do stay you must take advantage of her dinners. Incredibly romantic. The location is perfect. Quick drives to Tamarindo, Playa Avellanas and Playa Conchal. Great places to explore and then return to the peace and tranquility of the lodge. Absolutely perfect. 」

「Nothing this hotel advertises in its description is accurate. There's only parking for two cars, the rooms are uncomfortable, the noise is so loud it's like there are no walls, the room smells bad, and the air conditioning only works in the lower part of the room, not in the bed area. The pool is the only slightly nice thing about it. I absolutely do not recommend it. If I had to highlight one thing, it would be the employee Oscar, who was very kind. His efforts are what convinced us to stay...
