"Loved everything but for 2 things, one the beds were on the floor and not very comfortable and heard a lot of noise, people talking loudly at 3am while trying to sleep!"
"The service was mixed depending upon where you were in the hotel. We received bottles of Saratoga upon arrival, and prompt bag storage. And, waitstaff in the outdoor dining area gave us water even though we didn't order anything. However, waitstaff at the pool was slow delivering drinks.
The property was beautiful and stylish, and I appreciated that the outdoor dining area had multiple TV screens for World Cup viewing. And, our room had a Juliet balcony with skyline views. However, the paint on some of the exteriors was peeling off, especially around the pool. The pool itself was fantastic though, and I loved that it was open at 7am!
Amenities such as shampoo and conditioner were high end and in full sized bottles (I hate those tiny ones!), and, sunscreen and water were provided at the pool.
The valet situation, unfortunately, was a disaster. They must have parked our car far away because it took more than 30 minutes to get it.
Overall, the Gansevoort was a fantastic experience."
"Great location very close to Time's Square. The room was nice, but the elevators are living a life on their own. Weirdest elevators ever. You had to press the desired floor before you went in to the elevators. The elevator did not have a panel inside, so you just had to pray you would get to the correct floor, depending on the algorithm and the number of people in line."
