"This house is in an excellent location, very central. It is within short walking distance of every restaurant, theater, or shop we wanted to go to. The old house's wall air conditioners and standing fans were a little bit loud at times, but we felt glad that inside temperature was always comfortable, even in June. "Our multi generational stay at the Jacksonville Mountain retreat was great. Our family of 10 had all the room we could ever need and fantastic views of the nature around us. The kitchen is GREAT, room for everyone to gather and the hangout spaces fit our family perfectly. The kids had a blast in the downstairs area with bunk beds and games etc. We all enjoyed our stay and it was nice being in the Madrone forest but only 10 minutes to town."

"This is a great place to stay in Ashland especially if you’re going to the theater. My only complaint in my 20+ years of staying there is I’ve never once been welcomed by the staff, never asked if this is my first time or I’ve stayed there before - or In fact anything other than to ask for ID and credit card and give basic directions to room, elevator. Whoever is in charge of training staff needs to take a basic course in hospitality."
