So what seemed like it would be a normal stay went very wrong. My family and I arrived at the hotel after a very long day to be told that we had to carry all of our belongings up the stairs because the elevator was out of service. Then when we finally got our room keys we went up the stairs into our room to discover THERE WERE PEOPLE SLEEPING IN THERE. Mortified my family and I backed out of the room as fast as we could and went back down the stairs to tell the front desk that we needed a different room. When we made it back down to the desk there was no one there so I had to bang on the counter to get someone’s attention. After I told them what had happened they were completely shocked and of course apologized and said the manager would provide some kind of accommodation in the morning. However, instead of just getting us a new room immediately he went upstairs and left us waiting there, holding all of our stuff. This was at midnight so we were beyond exhausted. The front desk worker came back to the desk, finally got us a new room key FOR THE THIRD FLOOR. So we then had to take our stuff and lug it up 3 flights of stairs. To walk into a room that smelled like wet dog and wasn’t even cleaned that well. No refund, no form of compensation was given. I will never be coming back.
