"The room was clean and warmed up easily. The bed was comfy. The staff was friendly and courteous, and the freshly-baked cookies were a treat!"

"Wow, what a great place to stay! We came here for a weeklong getaway and it was such a perfect spot to immerse ourselves in the city - it is right next to downtown. The cottage itself was luxurious, with a decadent bath, tall shower, balcony seating, and a little private bit of yard and seating area. There are a lot of little touches that made it feel extra homey (incredibly plush towels, high end blinds, bedside plugs that are easy to get to, motion sensor lights on the stairs outside, and more).Kathy also has put a lot of personal effort into helping you have a good stay in Ashland. Her binder has instructions for things in the cottage, as well as places to walk your dog, restaurants, and other local places of interest. A final thing to note: the kitchen was better stocked than we expected! We packed a hotplate, some pots and pans and a sharp knife - none of this was needed. It's probably tricky to keep an updated inventory for this stuff, but I recommend reaching out before you pack to see if you need everything."

"The room was spotless and in good nick. While it was smallish in the style of the period, everything we needed was there and very satisfying. The screen in the room was quite large and had an excellent picture. And do not miss the breakfast! Absolutely EXCELLENT fare, served by a lovely group of staff members. Same goes for housekeeping. Highly recommend this lovely old rose of a hotel!"

"Everything was great! The house is very comfortable and was perfect for two couples. The location related to downtown is perfect! We enjoyed a lovely low-key weekend with good friends and excellent food!"
